Walking in Wakefield – the Eye of the Photographer inspired by Ruggero’s Thanksgiving Day.
On Saturday, the 30th of September, Marta and I celebrated our own Ruggero’s Thanksgiving Day 2023. Every year on this date, we commemorate the day we said goodbye to a toxic and awful person and the negative aura of feelings and emotions that that guy induced and carried with him. Not much more we want to say about this, except that every year on the 30th of September, or during the weekend that follows the date, we do something special, something we really enjoy. This year, as part of the celebrations, we went for a photo walk organized by the Art House in Wakefield. I came home with approximately 60 pictures, of which I will keep between 20 and 25: a record percentage of keepers for me.
What do I like of them? Not sure; you won’t find much of the iconic search that I am doing while living in this wonderful Country, but more a different eye, inspired by the gratitude of this Thanksgiving Day – I shot anything that captured my attention and I did it for myself, no pressure to post or to please anybody. Here you have – a selection from Ruggero’s Thanksgiving day photo walk in Wakefield!
