One

I like some of my pictures much more than others, regardless of what people say and beyond any objective technical analysis. ‘One’ is my 2019 preferred ‘creature’ so far, and is making me consider a black and white only photo project…

Shot in Venice Beach with the Fuji X-T1 and 56mm f/1.2, the picture was taken from very far away and is a strong crop, far more than what normally one should do. The reason is simple: I was attracted by that scene but was too far away and, with a prime lens, no way to zoom in. A fraction of a second is the difference between taking a picture home and loosing it forever: this is what I got in that split second.
