In the hood: Venice Beach

February trip to LA: we were based in Venice Beach. Literally a few meters from the legendary Muscle beach of Schwarzenegger and Ferrigno, the beach of Baywatch, the boardwalk and streets of American History X.

All the basketball players in the world think at these courts whenever the word ‘playground’ is spelled. Here pros and rookies meet for a game and is not rare that superstars, more or less under cover, hit the ground for a game.

Shot with Fuji X-T1 and the 56mm f/1.2:  we were strongly ‘space and weight constrained’ on this quick trip to bring the full Canon gear with us and the small Fuji served us great and allowed for some beautiful images. Soon the post on Venice and Hollywood where Marta and I had a shock impact with the contrast of this part of the US!
