What we hoped for our trip to Nepal in May 2024 was an experience of the spiritual aspects and everyday life seen from an insider’s point of view—or at least, as low-profile as possible. To achieve that result, we used a local tour operator who customized our itinerary. Part 1 is about our first day in Kathmandu and the immediate impact on Nepal and the Nepalis. Shapes, symbols, and colors simply overwhelmed us, and selecting what to include and what not is a challenge. The following parts of the project will drill down on more specific topics and less traveled paths. But for now, shapes, faces, and colors on Nepal as we landed!
